Postive Action List

Hi everyone,

I am back from holidays (albeit just a week). In the end we caved in to the demands of my children and went to Centreparcs (no publicity intended). Although it rained everyday in the forest the kids had a great time doing all the activities (swimming, biking, horseriding, golfing, badminton, more swimming, bowling,…). My wife and I  did too in all honesty although we were more tired at the end than when we arrived !!

One good thing about holidays in general is that I can quite easily switch off from the day to day work mode and forget about my consultancy practise, trading, investing and I make sure that I stay away from a keyboard. However, I also find that this is the time that I most think about where I want to be in six months time in terms of my business, my projects and my investments – the dot-to-dot that leads to the Holy Grail of Financial Freedom.

So where did my dreaming get me this time:

 1. My big challenge that I want to achieve by the end of the year is to buy myself another Buy-to-Let apartment – I have already identified several good new build properties inUKcity centres. My funding is to be mainly through savings, cash in my Company as well as liquidating positions in the stock market – I need the FTSE to rocket by Christmas !

 2. I want to make sure I use my Stocks & Shares ISA entitlement for this year (while the shares are at what seems to be bargain prices).

 3. I also want to build this website up with more interesting content and hopefully earn enough income in advertising that it pays for the running costs.

Those were my three major “New Summer Resolutions”; I ended up making at least 10 other promises to my wife as to what I was going to create for her in the garden over the next few months but I don’t think you want to hear about that !!

I believe that making short-term goals as well as long-term goals is very important in life and writing them down and even sharing them can help focus your attention and provide greater motivation.

So if you are serious about achieving your objectives make a start today by listing them down on a piece of paper and sticking them to your wall.

 Good luck.

 Michael.
